Description

Wood1st is more than a wood treatment—it’s a foundation of care for every timber surface exposed to time, weather, and wear. Formulated with penetrating oils, alkyds, pesticides, and UV stabilizers, Wood1st feeds and protects raw wood from the inside out. Whether used alone as a nourishing oil or as a primer beneath Paintcor’s WoodLuv or WoodCoat varnishes, it enhances the natural grain and prolongs the life of outdoor installations.
From garden furniture and pergolas to decking and trims, Wood1st shields against mould, moisture, and harsh sun. It’s available in a range of stains and can be tailored to your desired depth of colour. Applied before assembly, it seals every surface—including screw and nail points—ensuring long-term resilience.
Where to use it:
• Exterior wood before varnishing
• Raw timber needing nourishment or stain
• Wooden furniture, trims, decking, and structures
Used Alone (Oil & Stain):
• Ensure wood is raw, new, and untreated
• Sand to smooth finish, remove dust
• Apply 1–2 coats undiluted (1 for hardwood, 2 for softwood)
• Reapply annually after light sanding when wood appears dry
Used as Primer Under Varnish:
• Dilute with 20% turpentine for hardwood
• Sand and clean wood thoroughly
• Apply liberal coat to all sides before assembly
• Allow 6 hours drying between coats, 12 hours before varnish
• Apply 2 coats of WoodLuv or WoodCoat before installation
• After installation, apply 2–3 coats to exposed areas to seal fixings
• Add 30 minutes drying time for every degree below 25°C
Application Equipment:
• Varnish brush or sponge roller
Cleanup & Storage:
• Clean tools with turpentine immediately after use
• Store in cool, dry conditions away from children and flames (flammable)
