Welcome to School Fuel (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of schoolfuel.co.za (the “Site”) and any orders placed through the Site.
By using the Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1) Definitions
- “School” – A partner school onboarded by School Fuel.
- “Parent/Guardian” – A natural person buying for a learner.
- “Headmaster” – A designated school representative who may earn commissions for his school (see point 12).
- “Products” – Goods offered on the Site.
2) Eligibility & Accounts
2.1 You must be 18+ (or have legal consent) to create an account and purchase.
2.2 You may be required to select your School during registration to support delivery and fulfilment.
2.3 You’re responsible for your account credentials and any activity under your account.
3) Schools & Access
4.1 School onboarding is required for bulk deliveries or school-managed fulfilment.
4.2 If your School is not listed, use the “Become a Partner School” form. Approval is at our discretion.
4.3 We may change or revoke School access or roles if we detect misuse or inaccurate information.
4) Pricing, VAT & Availability
4.1 Prices are displayed to logged-in users and are shown in South African Rand (ZAR).
4.2 Prices may change at any time due to supply, promotions, or other factors. The price confirmed at checkout at the time of acceptance (see point 7) applies to your order.
4.3 Prices are inclusive of VAT as indicated at checkout.
4.4 We may update product descriptions or availability without notice.
5) Coupons, Promotions & Discounts
5.1 From time to time we may offer promotions, referral benefits, or coupons. Each offer is subject to its own terms and time limits and may be withdrawn at any time.
5.2 Unless stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined.
6) Orders & Contract
6.1 Your order is an offer to buy Products. We accept only when we send an order confirmation email.
6.2 We may decline or cancel an order (with a full refund if payment was taken) if: Products are unavailable or incorrectly priced; payment cannot be authorized; or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse.
7) Payment
7.1 We make use of PayFast (cards, instant EFT, and other methods supported by PayFast).
7.2 All payments are processed securely by PayFast, so we do not store card details.
7.3 We do not offer cash-on-delivery. EFT/manual payments are only by prior written arrangement and must reflect before dispatch.
8) Delivery & Collection
8.1 Orders are delivered directly to the School’s designated collection point.
• Delivery to local schools within the Western Province will take place within 10 business days from the date of order.
• Delivery to non-local schools will take place within 15 business days from the date of order.
Estimated delivery timelines may also be shown at checkout or communicated by your School.
8.2 Responsibility for the order passes to the School once delivery has been completed at the designated collection point. Please ensure timely collection, as School Fuel cannot be held responsible for orders after handover to the School.
8.3 If there are any changes to delivery schedules, or if an order needs to be delivered in more than one shipment, we will communicate this where reasonably possible.
8.4 No delivery fees apply. Delivery is provided as part of the School Fuel service.
9) Click-&-Collect / Alternatives (if enabled)
If your School or region supports a collection option, you’ll be able to select it during checkout. ID and order number may be required on collection.
10) Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
10.1 Please inspect Products on receipt. For damaged, defective, or incorrect items, contact your school within 7 days with photos and order details.
10.2 For hygiene or safety reasons certain items (e.g., opened stationery packs, worn garments without tags) may be non-returnable.
10.3 Approved returns must follow our instructions (return to School drop-off or courier label). Once received and inspected, we will refund or replace per your preference and stock availability.
10.4 Refunds are made via the original payment method (timing depends on your bank/gateway).
10.5 Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
11) Headmaster/School Commissions
11.1 Some Schools designate a Headmaster (or representative) eligible for affiliate/commission income on qualifying purchases associated to that School.
11.2 Commission rates, eligibility, and payout rules are set by School Fuel and may change.
11.3 We may suspend or reverse commissions in cases of refunds, fraud, or policy breaches.
11.4 Commission status is administrative only and may be adjusted to reflect accurate entitlements.
12) Product Information & Sizing
12.1 We aim for accurate descriptions and images. Minor variations in colour, packaging, or batch may occur.
12.2 Apparel sizing charts are guides; please check measurements before ordering.
13) User Content (Reviews, Questions)
13.1 You may post reviews/questions where enabled. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use this content for marketing or service improvement.
13.2 Do not post unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content. We may remove content at our discretion.
14) Acceptable Use
You agree not to: misrepresent your identity; interfere with the Site; scrape data; introduce malware; or attempt to bypass access controls.
15) Intellectual Property
All Site content (logos, text, graphics, photos, and software) is owned by School Fuel or our licensors and is protected by law. You may not use any content without our prior written consent.
16) Third-Party Services
We use trusted third parties (e.g., PayFast). Their terms and privacy policies apply where relevant. We are not responsible for third-party outages or errors.
17) Privacy
Your personal information is processed in line with our Privacy Policy and POPIA requirements. See our Privacy Policy.
18) Warranties & Liability
18.1 Products carry the manufacturer’s warranties where applicable.
18.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, School Fuel is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profits, data, or use.
18.3 Our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant Products.
19) Indemnity
You indemnify us against claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Site, or infringement of third-party rights.
20) Changes to the Site or Terms
We may update the Site and these Terms at any time. Changes apply from publication on this page. Your continued use constitutes acceptance.
21) Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be handled by competent South African courts. You may also use any applicable statutory dispute mechanisms under South African consumer law.
