EnviroPrime is more than a primer—it’s a commitment to protecting both your steelwork and the environment. Formulated as a water-based, red oxide primer, it incorporates the latest anti-corrosive technology without relying on zinc phosphate, making it non-toxic, low in odour, and environmentally responsible with a Greenstar VOC rating.
On prepared mild steel, EnviroPrime has proven performance: passing 250 hours of salt spray testing with no rust creep, and still showing strong adhesion and protection at 500 hours. This makes it one of South Africa’s leading water-based anti-corrosive primers, trusted for structural steel and galvanised iron in demanding Highveld conditions.

Where to use it:
• New mild steel and galvanised iron
• Structural steel requiring anti-corrosion protection

Surface Preparation & Application:
• Mild Steel: Degrease with GrimeReaper, sand/shot blast to bright metal, apply 2 coats (45 min dry time).
• Galvanised Iron: Degrease, remove rust (white rust with vinegar wash), apply 1 coat.
• Previously Painted Steel/Iron: Remove peeling paint, sand or use Rustcon, prime exposed metal with 2 coats EnviroPrime.
• Allow 24 hours drying before applying solvent-based topcoats.
